LoveGeorge Appeals for Blankets and Soup Ingredients to Support Displaced Families

GEORGE – LoveGeorge, the humanitarian initiative of Love Garden Route NPC, has launched an urgent appeal for blankets and ingredients for soup to assist families currently being accommodated in churches and community halls across George.

Recent adverse weather conditions have left many residents in need of temporary shelter and basic necessities. Community members are being encouraged to donate blankets, as well as ingredients such as vegetables, lentils, beans, rice and other non-perishable items that can be used to prepare nourishing soup for affected families.

“Many people in our community are going through a very difficult time,” said Herman Pienaar of LoveGeorge. “A warm blanket and a bowl of soup can make a significant difference to families who have lost so much. We invite the public, businesses, churches and organisations to join us in bringing hope and practical support.”

• George Municipality Community Services, 11 Varing Street, George Central
• Garden Route District Sub Office, Missions Street, next to the Railway Museum
Monday to Thursday: 07:30 to 16:30
Friday: 07:30 to 13:00

LoveGeorge is a community-driven initiative that mobilises volunteers, churches, businesses and residents to respond to humanitarian needs and disasters in the George area.

Members of the public are encouraged to share the appeal widely and contribute where possible.

For 35 years Herman specializes in web development and web design and through his business also offer web-hosting, email-hosting and domain-hosting.As a Pastor he has presented 48 men's and women's camps where the main focus is to assist and guide Christians in discovering who and whose they are, discovering their true calling and then activate them into their true Prophetic and Apostolic calling.
