Thanks to Thembalethu Neighbourhood Watch. Items stolen from the school have been recovered after being sold residents in Lawaaikamp, Thembalethu and Parkdene; the items include a laptop, TV screen, computer screen, projector, Wi-Fi device and an electric cord. This occurred because of a burglary earlier this month – when burglars went into the premises through a window and stole a number of electrical appliances.

  One of the neighbourhood watch members, Sinethemba Helebe, had this to say: “We are assisting the police and work hand in hand with them. However, we are tired of not seeing results from the police in terms of apprehending criminals. That is why we have decided to take matters into our own hands.”
